Dear Claudia (My response to your response)

20 February 2011

I’m meant to be in bed right now! I promised myself I would go to bed at 9!! And then it changed to 10... but just as I was about to go to bed, I always check various websites, such as facebook, deviantart and blogger. And you posted 3 minutes ago, or well it was 3 minutes ago when I started to read it. And when I read the response to my question, I had to reply!
It’s a defence to why I lack motivation.
Luck
I have the worst of luck most of the time but when it really matters I get lucky. I rely on this luck far too much and it’s the reason I fail at so many things but also why I succeed at others.
Naturally smart
I’m not terribly smart, but I’ve always been smart enough to get by. I have very good short-term memory I think. I can cram study at the last minute and usually do good enough to be just above average. But memory is failing me now! It’s not good enough to pass my exams and because I’ve always relied on it I have no revision skills and no experience with studying. I’m panicking now!
I have very little privileges
I’m the eldest child but I also have 2 other very attention demanding siblings and my parents can’t afford to give me money. I’ve grown up on asda smart price or safeway uh whatever their version of smart price is, lol. I wore strictly primark clothes as a child. I’ve never left the UK or Ireland. I’ve never even been to England. I live on Newry St...
This has affected me in two different ways. I have a determination to get away from all of it. My life goal is to live somewhere that’s not Northern Ireland. But hey I’ll settle for somewhere that’s not up Newry Street! But I also have low standards for certain things, such as food and clothes. It kinda annoys me when people are obsessed with only getting Name Brands. Such as only eating Heinz Beans and never wearing something that’s been bought from Primark. I think I’ll be able to budget very, very well when I live on my own because of this.
Organisation
Non-existent. It actually stresses me out when I’m organised. I’m better off with my last minute, impulsive decisions and preparing for things when it gets to it. I keep a calendar but there are no important dates marked on it... it’s more or less for habit and to have a reminder of what day it is. The Calender on my phone is my main organisation. I mark important dates on it so that I don’t forget. But that’s the extent of it.

I wish I was able to work as hard as you do and stay as motivated too; it makes me sad that I can’t.

Thank you for putting so much effort into answering my question Claudia! As for the picture, take your time because I know how worked up you got for your interview and your position I would want a break too, lol.

Whoops, I have been mistaken!

02 February 2011

Alas, after doing the quiz on James's boggart post I have discovered that I would not have a Willow Phoenix Feather wand. It would be an 11" Mahogany, Unicorn Hair. I would make a good healer, apparently.

Oh well! From what I've learnt of my video gaming experiences, no team is complete without a priest!

"That suggests that what you fear most of all is - fear. Very wise, Harry."

"So the boggart sitting in the darkness within has not yet assumed a form. He does not yet know what will frighten the person on the other side of the door. Nobody knows what a boggart looks like when he is alone, but when I let him out, he will immediately become whatever each of us most fears."

Emma challenged me to describe what a boggart would turn into for me, so here goes...
Bombs and guns are probably my biggest fears but I’m absolutely terrified of looking out my window at night and seeing a man holding a huge gun, with a couple grenades on his belt (is that even where you keep grenades?) staring right at me. He would have blonde hair too... maybe this fear was triggered in fourth year? That was when I was learning about the Nazis in History... maybe... because I also fear nuclear bombs (the other module for that exam was the cold war). That would be another possible transformation the boggart would be for me, a huge mushroom cloud! But it wouldn’t fear me to watch it so I think it would be a window looking out upon a dark night with a blonde man pointing a huge gun at me.
And then I would point my willow wand with its phoenix feather core 11inch Mahogany Unicorn Hair core wand at the boggart and yell:
“Riddikulus!”
And pop! It would (hopefully) turn into a man holding onto a rubber chicken with several Kinder Eggs on his belt and they would taste good. Or if it was a mushroom cloud it would change into hundreds of those marshmallow-y mushrooms with coconut! Yum yum!

Now, I challenge you! To write about your biggest fear, what a boggart would turn into for you! Kind of like a meme!
Good luck on the battle against your biggest fear!

Why I fail at school

I watch too many movies. I decided to keep a list of all the movies I watch this year, here's January's list:

All about Steve - Best part: when sandra bullock fell down the mine
Post Grad
Alice in Wonderland (Tim Burton version)
Happily N'Ever After 2
Toy Story
Sherlock Holmes - amazing
Me and Orson Welles - Zac Efron *swoon*
St Trinnians 2
Did you hear about the Morgans - wish I didn't.
Flash of Genius
Julia - Actually quite good, but a bit slow in places
The Tortured
Silent Hill
Octopus (LOL)
A Serious Man I couldn’t watch more than 20 minutes of this movie
American History X - golly it's amazing
The Other Guys - not as great as it was made out to be
Suburban Girl
One Hour Photo
Life in Wartime - ehh
Mirrors 2 - Almost as good as Mirrors 1 *sarcasm*
Adam - One of my favourite movies!
Black Swan - wow.
My Name is Khan - I don't normally like Bollywood movies but this one was amazing
The Boat that Rocked
Children of the Corn
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (The Original) Although to be quite fair I hardly watched it... the remake was better. And that’s saying something.
Harry Brown
Where the Wild Things Are

Almost one everday! If only that was how it worked... I usually watch 3 movies a day on the weekends. I have too much freetime on my hands!

Here, have a Japanese Proverby saying thing
見ぬが花。(literally means: "Not seeing is a flower")
"Reality can't compete with imagination"

I love you Wikipedia! <3
